Version 1.81 + GamePlay Video !

Hey there,

As I said before, we would made another GamePlay-video !

At the moment Project Blank is in version 1.81/Build 181 .

The GamePlay-video is finished, here it is ! Make sure to watch it in HD !

Hello !

We have good news, bad news, and more good news !

Bad news :

- Animations doens’t work correct on Windows (Tommy uses Linux). This is fixable, but takes a lot of time and is boring as hell …

- The whole killing-system didn’t work anymore on Windows .

Good news :

- We adjusted the killing-system, and now it works even better !

- We’re working on getting an explosion when hit, so you know when you’re dead :) .

- We’re trying to make the sound work on Linux .

Version 1.74

Hey there, there’s another update, version 1.74 of Project Blank, or Build 174 .

Updates:

- The textures fit in nice, we worked a lot on the UV-maps .

- The .blend-file contains 5.7MB including all textures and sound . (Coming from 30MB !)

- The sound is updated, it isn’t okay yet, but we’re working on it .

- Some faces of the map aren’t completely finished, but we hope we can fix it.

- The Singleplayer/Tutorial is finished ! It isn’t that long because we couldn’t imagine something better .

- The credits are now finished, the menu has become more moveable due to sub-menu’s. There’s a sub-menu called ‘Network/Internet Functionality’, but that will need to wait. Next week TommyNL will get free, so he can work on it :) .

- We added a score-system when using Split-Screen .

Version 1.26 !

Hello,

Yes, we made another update, and we’re doing well :) .

Reduction:

In Blender, the files are .blend-files, and our dick-tator (TommyNL), had 30MB .blend-files … He reduced that to 9.4MB ! You can see the tiny differences in the screenshots posted below here.

You might see the rings at the radiator, each ring is a vertex, and it takes in tons of data …

Advantages:

- Loading-time is slower

- Better graphics-preformance (Your system needs to work less for almost the same thing.)

Textures:

Like you might have noticed, we changed the textures a bit. These are getting better, and the holes in the tank-model will be fixed.

Menu:

We changed the menu so there’s a sub-menu. We’ll make a video about this.

Death:

First, you could only be killed when you where driving, due to the killing-script was inside the driving-script, so if you didn’t drive, you couldn’t get killed. Now, the killing-script is a script on his own.

But, the tank always touches the floor, and when hit, the script should think the tank collides with the bullet, sometimes however, the tank collides with the floor, so we need to fix that.

Next:

- The holes in the tank-model.
- Textures.
- Outro and credits.

The first two thins aren’t easy, and it takes ages, but it gives awesome effects ;) .

- A simple shooting range.

- Better lightning effects (We changed the lamps into spheres).

- MultiPlayer map updated.
